'The Divine Warrior guides you to your Divine Destiny. The Divine warrior energy exists within men and women as the inner propulsion to continue with a worthy path even during times of difficulty. When faced with a challenge, a true warrior will summon more of him or herself to the cause - it might be more wisdom, focus, intelligence and surrender into the Divine. The Warrior within has great inner resourcefulness and determination. This part of you will lead you to spiritual success.' ~AF.

This card is a call to your Divine Warrior, the part of you that holds great self esteem, that believes that you are worthy of what you desire and provides you with the effort, focus and personal groth to obtain it.
The Divine Warrior will succeed in bringing about your Divine Destiny, but it will be done in a way that is in integrity with deep spiritual values.

What are you struggling to attain? What have you given up hope of ever having? This message comes to tell you not to give up but instead take action. This situation may be causing challenge and struggle, but that is not a sign to step away, but a sign to put your faith in the Divine Warrior within. Do not give up the fight.

Clouds - Shapeshifting

I haven't posted on this blog for a long time, but people are still reading it as I get comments coming through. So deciding this was a kick in the backside from spirit I will try and start sharing again, the posts that go on my FB page each day.

So today's card is from the Earth Magic Oracle by Steven Farmer. The Illustration is by Ken Bushe.

Do you remember watching clouds as a child, seeing shapes, figures, whole worlds, emerging and then disappearing once more? I'm sure there are many of you who still do this, I know I do. It is a great exercise for living in the now, observing the flow, the constant change in nature. It is also a good way to exercise your imagination muscle. When you start you may see nothing for a while, but soon much will emerge for you to see, to smile at, and you will really feel that childlike innocence and joy for life, even if only for a few moments.

Such an exercise can be done in other ways too. I see faces and figures all the time in nature. Just this morning as I lay in bed trying to force myself to get out of the warmth, I looked out the window, where the blind was not fully pulled down, and saw something that looked like a green, shrubby Sesame Street type monster, waving at me with a great big hand. It made me giggle! I good start to my day!

This process of focused relaxation also allows messages to come through from your soul, and your guides. It allows you to begin to see the world of nature spirits, angels and unicorns. And watch out for the odd dragon or two! This playful game is a powerful opening exercise that we should all practice. Its gifts are far more than you will realise at first and its potential is vast.

So today go stare at clouds, or a group of trees, or even a patch of grass. Spirit is everywhere waiting for your connection.

Todays Reading - Spread Your Wings

Today’s card is from the Archangel Oracle by Doreen Virtue. The illustration is by James Yale.

Spread Your Wings - Archangel Ariel

Ariel’s name means Lioness of God and she is a feminine presence. She is associated with animals, nature, elementals, magic and manifestation.

Change is happening. We can’t stop it, we have to go with it. So Ariel’s’ message today is to spread your wings and let the currents take you! Have courage because now is the time when we are all being asked to go beyond our comfort zone and take that leap into the unknown places that have been calling to our heart and soul for a long time. This is the right time to fly. This is the time to soar!

What is holding you back? Do you believe in your dreams? Or is that all they are? Dreams. How stupid will you look when you go for it? How idiotic will you look when you fail? Will everybody say I told you so? Will they all talk behind your back? I have four words for you. WHO GIVES A DAMN!

Life is here, you are here, and it is time to start living! Stop the monochrome drone and start painting your actions in full blown technicolour! If you fail, you learn something vital that will help you succeed next time. Failure is a positive step forward. If you only do those things in life that you KNOW you will succeed at, how will you learn, how will you grow, how will you stop the boredom? How will you grow your wings so that you can fly?

Here is a suggestion that may help. Write down on a piece of A4 paper that one thing that your heart is yearning for you to do, in big letters, each one a different colour. Then decorate the edges of the paper with phrases, ideas or actions that are the baby steps towards take off! Keep it bright and bold and stick it on the wall where you will see it every day. Then look in the mirror every day and say ‘Today I will spread my wings and soar!’

Enjoy it!

Todays Reading - Meadow

Today’s card is from Earth Magic oracle cards by Dr. Steven Farmer. The illustration is by Mike Dawson.

Meadow - Vulnerability

My immediate response to this card was ‘wow’ and then ‘vulnerability?’ For me a meadow like this is paradise! The beauty of the flowers and grasses, the whispers of insects, a faint fresh breeze on my face and all that wonderful sky! But for some people, that amount of exposure is unsettling. Then I got to thinking....vulnerability is not a physical thing it is an emotional response to being out in the open, unprotected for all to see. Why do we respond that way?

At one time survival meant staying away from the hunter’s eyes, but for thousands of year’s man has been the predominant hunter and so I don’t really think this is a conditioned response of human kind. It is determined by how we think of ourselves and our connection to our world. If we are happy being our true self and we have faith that we are living from our authentic soul, so the negative thoughts of others do not matter and just slide away, then this meadow is a wonderful peaceful haven where all our senses come alive and connect us to Mother Earth. However if we are living a life of fear, a life where we care what other people think to the extent that our authentic self is hidden beneath our hunched shoulders and we spend all our time trying to guess which persona will make someone else like and accept us, then this meadow is a place where we will feel open to the gaze of too many. There are no places to hide.

Connecting with nature also shows us our true self and many people do not want to share that, even with themselves! To be fully present and fully participate in what you can see, hear, touch, smell, feel, you have to open yourself to all of those things. You have to be vulnerable. To be vulnerable with confidence, vulnerable to others, to ourselves and to the world is a risk, but one well worth taking. Hiding our true self serves to disconnect us from everyone and everything. Bringing our true self to the fore and trusting that, no matter what anyone else thinks, this is you in all your glory, brings us connection.

So how does the meadow make you feel? Do you long to run through it, lie down in its soft grasp, smell the wonderful fragrances, hear the many subtle sounds and stare at the vast blue sky above you? Or do you want to find the nearest hole and squeeze inside, looking nervously out and hoping you weren’t spotted.
Be who you really are, under all those many disguises. You are here for a reason, but you will never find that reason by hiding down a rabbit hole! The only way to feel secure and loved in this world is to be vulnerable. So take a deep breath, ditch the cloaks, and walk out into the world naked and free!

Todays Reading - Spiritual Understanding

Today’s card is from the Archangel Oracle by Doreen Virtue. The illustration is by Marius Michael- George.

Archangel Raziel can help you understand esoteric material, manifestation principles, sacred geometry, quantum physics and other high-level information. He knows all the secrets of the Universe and the way in which it operates.

We are being sent messages more and more from the spirit world that change is happening, and everyone is aware of the significance of 2012.  Archangel Raziel is reminding us that now is the time of deeper spiritual understanding. If we ask, he will help us to open up to the messages around us. He will guide us to places online, or books that give us more information. He will help us find courses, or teachers that will take us to the next level. He will help us find the places within ourselves where the knowledge we need is stored.  We just need to be open to receiving this knowledge and to recognise it when we see it.

If you are meant to hear a message it will come in multiple ways. Perhaps in a dream, something you read or hear or as thoughts and ideas. It will keep coming into your life until you see it. To help this process you can start today, to do things that will engage the part of you that is in touch with the higher realms. Start paying attention to your feelings and emotions. Don’t dismiss them. Keep a dream diary, write down any thoughts that crop up, whether they seem relevant or make sense. Looking back you will understand. Do some sort of meditation practice or yoga, tai chi, qi- gong, anything that activates the life force energy. And spend time outdoors just noticing what is around you. Use all of your senses. All of these things will help you to open up to higher energies and here what you need to hear.

Don’t expect weird and wonderful experiences. We are humans walking the earth. Listen, see and feel the obvious. Don’t go looking for strange visions, just be aware of what is happening around you. Visions etc may happen, but the way to be open starts by being grounded in the energies of the earth.

Keep open minded. We are all very good at limiting ourselves by placing restrictions on what we can do or think or be. Try studying where you limit yourself and see if you have any rational explanation for it. Most of the time there won’t be one. I, for instance have been limited in what I do because of my responsibility to my children and family. When I studied this I realised that the only person setting those limitations was myself. So I have set out to push back those limits, bit by bit, one stage at a time. This doesn’t mean I will no longer commit to my responsibilities, it means I will not be chained to them but will instead do more things that mean I will receive too. In this way I am happier and so those around me are happier.

Nothing is supernatural, it is all natural. We are human beings and energy beings in one. We can naturally interact on many levels, all of us. The coming changes will remind us how to do this and improve our sense of who we are and why we are here in the process. Just be open to receiving.

Todays Reading - Maeve

Today’s card is from the Goddess Guidance Oracle by Doreen Virtue. The illustration is by Richard Hescox.

In his book, Yearning for the Wind, Tom Cowan has a chapter called ‘Queen Maeve’s Rules For Soul Making.’ This is the first paragraph.

Queen Maeve had three requirements for a husband. He was to be without fear, without jealousy and without stinginess. These are appropriate requirements for soul making as well. Speaking as the Goddess of Sovereignty, Maeve reminded Kings that to be her consort they would have to fearless warriors in defending the land. They would have to be tolerant of her many erotic relationships with other kings and chieftains whose authority and wisdom depended upon her good graces.Lastly they would have to be generous, for in Celtic society the king was expected to be the most generous man in the realm or tribe. Maeve expected a lot from her husband’s.

Maeve is a tough exponent of the Divine Feminine. She is here to help us become better people, but don’t expect her to be gentle. Maeve went through the rigours of woman hood and felt the pains as the moon cycles flowed within her connecting her to the land, sea and sky. She was quite willing to give her enemies this pain to enable her to beat them in battle.

Maeve is not the gentle White Tara, she is the force of nature that runs through us all, as it runs through the earth, shaping all within her grasp with direct force. You cannot escape her clutches when she comes for you, just as a woman cannot escape the fact that her monthly cycles with their pains, emotional disturbances and imbalances, can be forgotten or erased. They are natural forces that connect her to this earth and give her the ability to create life.

Maeve’s lesson, although tough, is very simple. You cannot fight the forces of nature. Like the King who lay with the Goddess of the land, you have to be willing to give up your wants to a greater power, to lay down your sword and not fight something that ultimately will never be beaten, and you have to give yourself over, not in defeat but in acceptance of what is and always will be the divine feminine that courses through each of us. You should not fear these acts for they will bring you courage, you should not look at another who has learnt this lesson with jealousy, because the gifts you will receive are far greater than any gift you could imagine, you should not hold on to your possessions thinking that you cannot live without them, for they are not you, they are not needed and they are not worthy of the person you will become if you let Maeve take you on the warriors soul quest.

To live a soulful life is simple. To live it well requires a warrior’s spirit. It requires the courage to let go and to allow your true self to come to the fore, stamina to keep you going through the hard battles of ego, strength of will in the face of adversity from yourself and others and faith that it is worthwhile. If you want to take the warrior’s road then Maeve is the Goddess to call upon. Remember that her lessons can be tough and she must be approached with true humility, but in return she will protect you and treat you as her favourite lover, bestowing the sweetest treasures of the soul.

Todays Reading - Celtic Bean

Today’s card is from the Druid Plant Oracle by Philip and Stephanie Carr- Gomm. The illustration is by Will Worthington.

Celtic Bean
Fertility, Reincarnation, Nourishment

The Celtic Bean is about half the size of modern varieties and the bean is covered in a black skin.

This plant is associated with fertility and reincarnation. Look out for things that you thought dead and gone, or over and done with, reoccurring or re-entering your life. This could be a relationship that you thought was over, or a project that never saw the light of day. Be creative with your thoughts and feelings and bring them out into the open.

Also be aware of any sensual or sexual thoughts and feelings at this time. The bean, as it sprouts is a phallic symbol, and the formed bean within the outer casing forms resembles an embryo. This card came up for me when I asked if I was pregnant with my last child so women reading this should take heed!

This card has a strong connection to the ancestors. Look at your life at present and how you are behaving. Are you replaying or re-enacting a family drama or way of thinking that serves no use in your life? If so be aware that this is something that you can personally let go of. Families often think in a collective way, or have traits that run through them because of one strong individual in their past. But we are all individuals and have the right to choose how we think and behave. Be your true self and drop anything that doesn’t represent you.

Beans have always provided nourishment and today you should look at all the ways that you can nourish yourself, be it physical, emotional of spiritual. What can you do to give yourself the things you need to grow, be strong and be healthy? Try and look at each area of your life where you are experiencing some difficulty and instead of trying to find an answer to the problem, look instead at how you can help yourself grow as a person. If we grow we often find that problems get left behind as you rise above them and they no longer hold importance.
