Todays Reading - You Know What To Do

The card today is from the Archangel Oracle by Doreen Virtue with artwork by Eileen Poldersman.

The Archangel Uriel is a very wise and gentle angel. He helps us with problem solving, spiritual understanding, studies and writing. He is associated with natural disasters and earth changes and can be called upon to avert these events or to help with the aftermath.

Today his message is very simple; You Know What To Do.

You all hold wisdom within your minds but many of you ignore your inner voices. You all ask questions about why things are happening in your lives and how you can change these things for the better. You think you have no answers or that the answers are unclear. Now is the time to trust in yourself, trust in those inner feelings that your logical mind ignores. You know what it is that needs doing to make life better.
It might seem too hard to think about let alone put into action. Ask for Uriel’s help today and he will help you to have the courage to do what is needed. He will help you to start unravelling problems into small easy to manage steps so that you can see that progress is being made. If your thoughts seem unclear and you don’t know what your next move should be, he will show you clearly.
Uriel is subtle. He will offer his help in gentle ways and may not always show you the end point, only the next step on the path you are walking down. This is wise as every step we take leads to countless possibilities. Holding in mind an end point will stunt your growth. Instead take things one step at a time holding in your heart the intention of what you want to achieve. This helps manifestation to occur in a natural, progressive and often surprising way.

Todays Reading - Bast

Todays card was taken from the Goddess Guidance Deck by Doreen Virtue and the artwork for this card is by Sharon George.

Bast originated as an Egyptian sun goddess who protected cats and their owners, a sacred animal in Egypt because of their usefulness in keeping down rodents and disease. She also became popular in Greek and Roman cultures where she was worshipped as a moon Goddess. She is a very ancient female energy and today she has a message for us.

Bast would like us to consider today how we can be independent of others whilst still being sociable and live within a community or family unit. You may be feeling like you need to spend some time alone. This is fine as it gives you time to think, contemplate and know yourself. At the same time, in order to be happy we need to feel supported and loved by others, so try to balance your time between solitude and company.

For any relationship to work we need to feel that we have the freedom to be ourselves. We need to have the confidence to be independent while still living and interacting with others. We have to also be able to acknowledge and allow this freedom and independence in those we love. In this way we offer unconditional love to those around us. Today Bast asks us to make sure that this is the case in our lives. If you are living in a way that is not truly in line with who you are, you will never be truly happy. Resentments will build up and anger will fuel your energies. Your purpose in life will never have the chance to be fulfilled. You must also be aware of how you are treating others. Make sure you let the people you love be who they are, and not who you want them to be.

This same unconditional love should be applied to our relationship with our enviroment and our planet. If we allow the planet to exist in a form that is natural, filled with resource, to balance and protect itself and all upon it, the planet will allow us the freedom to learn what it means to be fully human. But if we carry on disrespecting the messages we are getting of imbalance, extinction of species, lack of resources and pollution, we may well find that we are treated with the same disregard!

Like a cat our freedom and independence give us a solid foundation to grow and be successful. Today examine how you balance your independence and freedom and make sure you are allowing others to do the same.

The Queen of Bows - Hare

My intention for this blog is to share with others my thoughts, insights and musings on the card decks I use for the readings on my site http://www.indigoreadings.co.uk

I want to find time to go into more depth on individual cards and choose a card of the day that everyone can work with. To do this I have thought for a long time what I should be asking of the cards. I know some people just pick a card and trust that it will be the right one, but I like to hold a thought in my mind. Words, whether thought of or spoken, are vibrations of energy and I feel that if you are putting out the correct energy you are more likely to receive the correct energy, or in this case answer to a question!
So I have decided to ask the following:
What energy is prevalent in the world today that people need to be aware of?

Holding this question at the fore front of my mind I picked a card from my newest deck, The Wildwood Tarot by Mark Ryan and John Matthews. I am finding myself drawn more and more to these cards, and indeed into there depths which are deep!
The card for today is The Queen of Bows - Hare.

I love this card. Hare's are associated with spring time, the time of renewal and re birth. They are associated with the Goddess and the feminine creative energy.
Today is the beginning of a fertile time where your potential will be evident and within your grasp. You will find that you are supported in any efforts to begin new projects. The support will be of a loving, kind and gentle nature. Your cause will be understood by those around you.

I hope this card helps you today. Please come back for more readings!
